Welcome to the Happiness PhD Project.
My name is Jackson Kerchis and I’m building a Happiness Encyclopedia as part of my independent learning & research initiative. This digital network of notes and insights is based on the Zettelkestan and Andy Matuschak’s Note-writing System. You will find scientific research, references to religious and philosophical thought, and life lessons (what Charlie Munger calls “worldly wisdom”). The goal is to create a useful knowledge network to advance insight into happiness for one and for all.
Here is a short reference video on how to use this system.
Short Walkthrough: Using StudyHappiness.Notion.Site - "Happiness Wikipedia"
You can jump in and follow trails of interlinked ideas. You can also use keywords and tags to search for specific topics and applications.
00 RESOURCES DIRECTORY is where you will find a list of in depth resources that do not fit within my standard notes structure.
Notes — Here you will find a living web of interconnected notes on tools, insights, and ideas. I suggest you start with The Learned Happiness Model (LHM)
The Learned Happiness Model (LHM)
The most important choice is the path of unconditional happiness.
1. Happiness is “life’s most important subject”.
2. An ability to control one’s behavior is foundational for happiness.
