Happiness has both subjective and objective components. I make the cause that the primary character of “what is” happiness is about it’s nature more than it’s definition: it is really evidence of certain causes and conditions. When the causes and conditions are right, happiness emerges. That said, I suggest that when one is generally experiencing positive emotion in the present moment, feels satisfied with their life up to this point, and feels good about the future — we may say they have “Happiness with a capital h”.
